Guest Designers

Today I have a special treat for you! I have two very special guest designers - my kids! ha! They created these cards for their dad

This card was created by my 10 year old son. He designed and created the card all by himself. He used Crumb Cake for the card base, the compass from the Sentimental Journey stamp set stamped with Versa Mark Ink, and the travel stamp (from the same set) stamped in Chocolate Chip ink. I thought he did a great job!

This next card was made by my 7 year old daughter. She LOVES to craft/stamp! Her card base is Basic Gray. She used images from the same stamp set (Sentimental Journey), Whisper White and Basic Black card stock, some scrap of gray pattern paper that she had in her stash, and a pewter brad. She used my white gel pen to write her message on the front. She had a little help getting her card put together (to get everything straight). She also did a great job! I love being able to craft with my kids!

Thanks for checking out their creations! Have a great weekend!

Christmas

Christmas? Yep, that's right! I am just now working on some of our Christmas pictures! Every year I make a scrapbook page of our Christmas tree. Here is this year's page

This is an 8 X 8 page. I am still using the I Wish simply scrappin' kit from I don't even know when! I LOVE this kit! I have been hoarding it! Anyone else out there hoard their paper?? Anyway, the only new product on this page is the little red glitter brad on the ornament and the red zig-zag from the Tasteful Trim die. Thanks for looking!  :)

It's a Snow Day!

Is it snowing where you are? It sure is here! We have at least 3 inches and it is still snowing! YIKES!

Today's project is a card that I made using my favorite DSPs. I love our Love Letter and Newsprint designer series papers together!

For this card I used Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Love Letter DSP, Newsprint DSP, the new dotted scallop ribbon border punch, large oval punch, scallop oval extra-large punch, and Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon (LOVE that stuff too!).

I hope you're enjoying your day! TFL!

Lucky Me!

Guess who I got to meet.........? The super talented Robin Merriman! WHOO HOO! I know! I have stalked her blog for quite some time now and lucky for me, she is BFFs with my (up) upline Tiffany! Robin was the guest speaker at our downline meeting. Not only is Robin a talented stamper/crafter, she is serving her second 'term' on SUs Advisory Board! What an honor! Congratulations Robin! She shared tons of great advice and tips for helping our business. Here is a picture of me and Robin.

Thank you for sharing with us Robin!

Crop Time!

Well, it's almost that time again........Crop for the Cure! Last year I went with a group of ladies to the Crop for the Cure in Evansville. It was my first crop and it was SO much fun that we are going again this year! I can't wait! I have a few members of my family that have dealt with cancer and they are very tough ladies! Here is a project that I made for two of my aunts.

I found these cute little sticky note pads

so, I made a holder for them using Whisper White and Pretty in Pink CS. I also used Pretty in Pink ribbon and a Sizzix ribbon die. I hope they liked them!

Valentine Promotion

Did you know that Valentine's Day is the second biggest holiday for sending cards? That is why Stampin' Up! is offering the Filled with Love promotion until January 24th. When you purchase a Filled with Love bundle, that includes the Filled with Love stamp set (available in wood or clear mount) and exclusive Love Patterns DSP, you receive a free package of bitty buttons! This exclusive DSP is only available through this special promotion. Click on my side bar or email me for more information. OR........you can shop my online store at ANY time, day or night!

My bundle is to be delivered this week! YAY! In the mean time, here is a project I made for a customer as a thank you for her order.

This cute little box is made using the scallop envelope die. I punched out two envelopes in Pretty in Pink, cut the long flap on each, and glued together. This little guy holds our mini envelopes and 3 X 3 cards perfectly. I did make her some Valentine cards but forgot to take a picture of those! Oh well! The DSP on the envelope box is Sending Love Specialty DSP from last year - this paper is in the clearance rack in my online store at a discounted price. If you love this lucious, glittery paper, head on over and check it out! I also used a little dab of Glimmer Paper from the new Ocassions Mini. If you have not seen this Mini, contact me for your copy today! You won't want to miss these awesome projects!

More Christmas!

Here is a little notebook I found at the Dollar General (for a dollar of course!). I altered it with some Jolly Holiday DSP, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon, and Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon. This is a very easy and very cheap gift that could be altered for any occasion or holiday.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year All! I hope you have a great year! I thought I would share an MDS page that I did awhile back. I like My Digital Studio! It is great but I'm a hands on kinda girl!

I used a picture for the background (custom background paper) and changed the opacity to soften it up. The stamp set that I used is included in the purchase of the MDS. It comes with a TON of stuff already installed on the CD, but of course you can purchase additional downloads through my online store or contact me if you need assistance!
