My Stampin' Space

I have heard many people say that they love to scrapbook, they just don't have the time. I understand completely! I would love to be able to craft a LOT more than I do!

One of the things that works so well for me is that my craft space, and it is just a space, is in one end of my kids' toy room. I have one long table and one short table creating an L shape. I can sit and craft/scrapbook while my kids play. My daughter loves this set-up too! She serves me from her little kitchen while I am 'working'. I also babysit her baby dolls while she goes to work.

I am also able to leave my projects out on my table so, they are there whenever I have the time to return to them. Here are some pictures of my area:

This was one of those toy bins that has been re-created to hold stamping supplies:

Here are my shelves that hold my stamp sets, card stock, etc.:

I hope this helps inspire you to find time to enjoy yourself! You deserve it!!!

Graditude

I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We sure did!

Here is a card I made for the wedding of a friend. I have to admit, when I saw this set, Notably Ornate, in the catalog, I wasn't really crazy about it. Now that I have it, WOW! It is so versatile!  I have many plans for this stamp set! This card uses Basic Black, Very Vanilla, and Cherry Cobbler. YUMMY! I also used the Whimsical Words stamp set, vintage brads, as well as chantilly lace. I LOVE these colors!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed your holiday and are ready to head back to work!!

Thanks So Much

Here is a card that I made for a swap that I was in last month. Swaps are such a great way to get lots of fresh ideas! This card uses Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, and Peach Parfait and the stamp set Awash with Flowers. I found this color combo using the awesome new Color-Coach by SU! I use that thing all the time! If you would like to order this awesome new product or any other Stampin Up! product, please let me know!

Hello Again!

I have been such a bad blogger! Once school started, life got really hectic! I had hoped to post projects way more frequently than this. Anyway, I made this card based on a card posted a while back by Heather Summers. It uses Crumb Cake and Whisper White card stock. I used Versa Mark, Basic Black, and White Craft ink. This card uses the level two hostess stamp set called Apple Blossoms. I LOVE this set!

Sorry for the poor picture quality! If anyone has some tips on taking better pictures, please feel free to let me know! Have a great weekend!

Birthday Card

Here is a card I made for my grandma's birthday. I used whisper white, basic black, and baja breeze. The message on the front is from the retired Chit Chat Rub-ons. I used a miscellaneous punch that my daughter has because the SU one was too big! Anyway, I hope my grandma liked it!

Halloween

Here is one of my favorite Halloween projects! I will eventually fill it with Halloween candy, but not until MUCH later! Otherwise, it will be long gone before Halloween ever gets here! I bought this glass jar at Wal-Mart and dressed it up with one of the Stampin Up! decor elements (SpookyExpressions) and some Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon. These little lovelies come as a set of 3 faces that can be used on most smooth surfaces. You get 3 different faces for only $4.95! How awesome is that? You can contact me at mscooper@bluemarble.net if you would like to order these.

Sweet Scoops

My daughter's birthday is not until the fall but........when the Summer Mini came out, she decided that she wanted to have an ice cream sundae birthday themed party! We are using the Sweet Scoops stamp set and Island Oasis DSP that is available until the end of the month to make invitations and party decorations. Here is one of the invites. These items are only available until the end of the month, so contact me soon if you are needing any of these items!

Playdate DSP

I made this magnetic board to use in my classroom. I bought a $5 magnetic dry erase board from Staples and covered it with a piece of DSP. I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a couple of holes at the top and knotted some Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon to hang it by. I got this super idea from the awesome Tiffany Bauer. Thanks for the great idea Tiffany!

Play Date

I just LOVE the new Play Date DSP and the matching accents! Can't wait for the rub-ons to become available! I am a teacher and I am using owls in my classroom this year. The Play Date items are helping with my classroom decor! Yay! I am working on decorating/altering a few items to use in my room. I will post some pictures  soon (when I have better light to take my pics!).

Sammi

This post is totally not stamping related. I need to appologize for not posting but life sure has been busy. First, we went on vacation for a week. That was a fun break! Two out of three of my sisters, their families, and mine went to North Carolina to visit with my dad and step mother. We had a fabulous time! A few days after we returned home, our beloved furry child, Sammi died. She was a Golden Retriever mix. Matt and I had had her for 15 and 1/2 years. She was like my first child. She was a house dog for years, until Cole was born. We knew this day would eventually arrive and I totally thought I would be okay with it knowing what a great and full life she had had. Boy, was I WRONG! It has been so hard! We will miss her dearly! Love you Sammi!

Pocket Silhouettes

This is a VERY simple card. Sorry for the poor picture quality. I am working on a better set up for taking pictures. Today I attempted a bleaching technique that I learned at Stamp Club last month. This card uses Chocolate Chip, Kraft/Crumb Cake, and Wild Wasabi. I stamped one of the images from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set with bleach on Wild Wasabi and punched them out using my 1-1/4" square punch. I layered it onto a 1-3/8" square of Chocolate Chip. I also used 1/4" grosgrain ribbon in Chocolate Chip.

Solid Stripes

Hi all! Here is another all SU card. This card uses: Whisper White, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, retiring Summer Sun, and returning Pacific Point. The squares were first stamped on Whisper White in the above colors with the Solid Stripes stamp, then punched with the 1 1/4" square punch. The star was cut using my cricut, then sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds. The white card stock was scored near the bottom, then I added a Chit Chat rub-on. This card was CASED from Andrea Walford. I am not able to link to her site at this time. Sorry Andrea!

First Ever Post!

Hello! Here is a card I created using all Stampin' Up product. This card was inspired by a card I received from Tiffany Bauer . The card colors include: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry. The DSP is from the Welcome Neighbor DSP pad from the January 5 - March 31, 2010 Sale-A-Bration catalog. The textured layer (done in Bermuda Bay) was textured using the Square Lattice embossing folder. I also included a knotted ribbon in Crushed Curry. I hope you like my first 'published' card!
